Nicolas Père et fils, Essentielle 2016, Cote du Rhone white

The 2016 Essentielle white is a blend of all the major grape varieties of The Rhone Valley – Bourboulenc (5%), Clairette (10%), Grenache blanc (40%), Marsanne (10%) and Viognier (35%). Together these have created a wine that is beautifully aromatic, yet one that has held on to its freshness. It has a nose full to the brim with white flowers and green tea, after which we are delighted with some wonderfully exotic fruits. With an amazingly long finish, this wine is perfect for seafood and fish and even hard cheese.
