2018 Saint Guilhem le desert, Les Tisserands

A blend of Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, this white wine offers mouth-watering hints of dried apricot and sweet pastry on the nose underpinned by fresher, floral notes. On the palette, this wine brings flavours of ripe fruit and buttery almonds as well as a rich, creamy finish making it the perfect summer aperitif or the ideal accompaniment to light savoury dishes or even a summer dessert. It’s a must try for its money.

The producer

Domaine les Caizergues

Domaine les Caizergues is a family-owned vineyard that nestles in the foothills of the Cévennes to the north of Montpellier in the south of France. All the wines produced on this small estate are made with real passion, dedication and oodles of skill. Rich and fruity, the wines bear witness to the vineyard’s wonderfully warm, sunny climate. They also exhibit all the freshness you would expect from its location high up in the hills. The estate is now well on its way towards formal organic accreditation and keeping things as natural as possible is the philosophy of the cellar.
