Domaine Bonnet Huteau, Les Bonnets Blanc 2020, Muscadet white

The color of this wine is very pale yellow, with green-silver reflections. The nose is discreet, on passion fruit, lemon zest, wet stone and spray. The palate is round, fresh, invigorating, with a delicious and tasty substance sprinkled with thousands of micro-bubbles. Aromatically, we stay in the lemon / stone register, even if the second tends to take over. There’s green apple too, reinforcing the thirst-quenching side. The latter is reinforced on the finish thanks to the famous bitterness / astringency duo evoking the peel of yellow grapefruit, with a persistence on chalky and lemony notes – and a hint of fresh pineapple. Highly recommend to give this wine a try.

BONNET-HUTEAU, WINEMAKERS IN ORGANIC FARMING SINCE 2005…

Jean-Jacques, Rémi Bonnet, Vincent Pineau are passionate winemakers. They have been operating the Domaine Bonnet-Huteau – a family propriety for more than 150 years – in the center of the Sèvre & Maine appelation. They give their best to develop a whole palette of flavours of Muscadet wines reflecting the best quality and minerality for each land – gneiss, micaschist, amphibolite and granite. Their vine-growing respects both soil and Nature. Today, the domain is run in biodynamics (certified by Biodyvin).

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Respecting men, environment and Nature is essential in our everyday work.

In the vines, our aim is to boost living soils and the natural defense of the plant, thanks to organic and biodynamic farming, so that our wines can express all their delicacy and minerality.

In the cellar, we take a little interventionist approach but rather naturally take care about our cuvées so that our wines can live and reflect our marvelous terroirs.
