Christmas De Luxe
We assembled a high end Christmas gift for the wine lovers, to start a Champagne blanc de blancs from Marcoult, a 100% chardonnay Champagne with very delicate bubbles and flavours of citrus fruit and brioche. Followed by a rich Saint-Aubin premier cru, a rich and buttery white Burgundy that enhances perfectly all white meats like your festive turkey. And to finish a Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion grand cru from Bardet, a blend of merlot and cabernet franc, flavours of red fruit with tobacco and oaky hints, the tannins are smooth and the finish is very long lasting. With this as a gift you can’t go wrong and might want a case for yourself.
The family business was created in 1967 by Michel Marcoult who lovingly passed the baton and all his wine making knowledge on to his son Francis. As the estate continues to respect tradition it also develops and cultivates wines of the highest calibre, garnering numerous awards inthe process. Fortunate to work with three contrasting terroirs
Vincent Bachelet is the 3rd generation of the Bachelet family to work the 17 hectares the domaine now has, the grapes come from the most pestigeous appeltions in Burgundy and the agriculture is done with minimal intervention. All grapes are handpicked and destemmed for the pinot noir and sorted, in the winery again all is
Roger Bardet passed on to his son Philippe a passion for growing wine, a taste for doing work well and a deep respect for the estate. In 2008, Philippe took over Château Franc le Maine, another Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.“A subtle blend of technical innovations and environmental practices designed to reveal the treasure within our terroir.”
