Domaine Chasselay, Morgon Corcelette is a boutique vineyard in Beaujolais region situated on a mere 1 hectare of land, with vines that are an average of 70 years old. The organic wine from the Gamay grape variety is carefully aged Sur Lie and in oak barrels. The result is a stunning Cru du Beaujolais – generous, tender in the mouth and with aromas of roses and peony – its beautiful ruby colour makes it a charming Cru.

Domaine Chasselay

25 km north west of Lyon, for more than six centuries, has been the home of Domaine Chasselay in the Beaujolais region. Claire and Fabien Chasselay, the latest generation to own and run the vineyard, joined in 2007. The own parcels in Fleurie, Morgon and plots for Beaujolais villages.They have proudly carried forward the wine making ethos of this vineyard of zero pesticides and zero chemicals. The majority of the wines are made without sulfites. Only the wines that are made to age get the smallest amount to keep them stable during the ageing process. The lunar calendar, the seasons and weather patterns are observed all year round. Bio-diversity in and around the vineyard together with flowers and hedges, are used to keep a perfect balance and to protect the vines from neighbouring lands that use pesticides. The wines from Domaine Chasseley have a taste of passion, which is no surprise given the amazingly hard work of both Claire and Fabien. The majority is planted in Gamay but a few plots are planted with chardonnay to make an amazing Beaujolais white.
