Vouvray

Vouvray is an Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) for white wine from the Loire Valley region of France. The wine is made from the Chenin Blanc grape variety and can be made in a variety of styles, including dry, semi-dry, and sweet. The wine is known for its floral, honey and apple aromas and high acidity. It is a popular wine to pair with seafood, chicken, and pork dishes.  The AOC is located around the town of Vouvray in the Indre-et-Loire department, and the wine is known for its minerality and acidity. The area under cultivation is around 1250 hectare and it is one of the most renowned AOC wine in the Loire Valley.
