Régnié is an AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) for wine produced in the Beaujolais region of France. The wines are made from the Gamay grape variety. The AOC is known for producing high-quality red wines. The production is limited to a specific geographic area, including the towns of Régnié-Durette, Saint-Lager and Saint-Vérand. The wine is characterized by its fruity, floral and spicy notes with light tannins and good acidity. The AOC was created in 1988, previously it was part of the Beaujolais-Villages AOC. It is one of the 10 crus of Beaujolais and is considered one of the most promising of all the crus.
