Sancerre

Sancerre Wine – Loire Valley’s Premier Sauvignon Blanc & Rosé

World-renowned for its exceptional white wines, the Sancerre appellation sits gracefully along the banks of the Loire River, just opposite Pouilly-Fumé, sharing many of the same unique climatic characteristics. With a rich viticultural history stretching back to the 6th century, Sancerre was initially celebrated for its elegant reds crafted from Pinot Noir, which were widely exported across France via the Loire Valley.

Today, Sancerre is best known internationally for its Sauvignon Blanc wines, prized for their freshness, finesse, and expressive minerality. Just a sip reveals the dedication and skill of the winegrowers, making these wines some of the finest in the world.

While Sancerre has earned fame for its whites, local wine producers also have a passion for crafting fresh, fruity rosé wines from Pinot Noir and Grenache. These rosés are a delightful companion to fish, shellfish, or light summer dishes, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional white wine pairings.
