Vincent Bachelet, La Fuissière 2020, Maranges 1er Cru

This is a truly wonderful example of Burgundy Maranges 1er Cru by Vincent Bachelet, This Pinot Noir grape variety has beautiful dark Ruby colour wine that reveals undergrowth and cranberries on the nose. The palate is a beautiful balance of tannins and fruit, with notes of cedar and all has a long finish. This wine will resist for at least the next 10 years and will be the perfect companion for winter dishes or red meat or even strong cheese. It’s a very powerful wine that you won’t forget.

Vincent Bachelet

Vincent Bachelet is the 3rd generation of the Bachelet family to work the 17 hectares the domaine now has, the grapes come from the most prestigeous appellations in Burgundy and the agriculture is done with minimal intervention. The domaine produces 60% of Pinot noir wines and 40% is Chardonnay. The grapes come from appellations like Maranges 1er cru and Cote de Beaune for the reds and Saint-Aubin or Chassagne-Montrachet for the whites. All grapes are handpicked and destemmed for the pinot noir and sorted, in the winery again all is done to let the terroir express itself and have minimum intervention and no additives. The result is an amazing range of what Burgundy has to offer, stunning wines.
