Rosé Wine
Rosé Wine
Rosé wines are a celebration of lightness, freshness and subtlety — wines that deliver charm without heaviness. At Wine Affairs, our rosé collection brings together bottles that embody elegance, summer ease, and delicacy, all while reflecting our commitment to eco‑friendly, terroir‑driven production.
What is Rosé?
Rosé is made by allowing red grape skins to have brief contact with the juice (a short maceration). The result is a wine with delicate pink hues — from pale salmon to vibrant coral — retaining freshness, a hint of red fruit, and crisp acidity.
Key Styles & Grape Varieties
While rosé’s simplicity is part of its appeal, there’s real diversity beneath the surface:
-
Grenache, Cinsault & Syrah: prominent in Provence and Southern France, with aromas of strawberries, rose petals and blood orange.
-
Grenache + Rolle / Vermentino: Mediterranean blends, bright and saline, with hints of citrus peel.
-
Cabernet / Merlot / Syrah blends: more structure, offering subtle savoury or herbal notes alongside red fruit.
-
Tavel / Bandol / Coteaux d’Aix: deeper in colour and body, yet still rosé in spirit — perfect for heartier dishes.
These grapes and regions define the character and elegance of rosé, just as we highlight in our white, red, and sparkling collections.
