High Environmental Value (HVE) Wines

HVE is a French certification for agriculture that respects a certain number of criteria. It stands for Haute Valeur Environmental, or high environmental value, It doesn’t only apply to winemaking but to all sorts of farming. The requirements, without going into too much detail are, improving water management, reducing the use of pesticides and fungicides, using a minimum of non-organic fertilizers and increasing biodiversity. HVE will always be the first step to becoming an organic winemaker and it is the minimum requirement for us to be selected on our wine list.
